Today was a special day in the South Side.
After being closed for more than a year for green renovations, our neighborhood library has opened bigger and better than ever.
We love our city, and the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, open since 1895, is an important reason why.

The rain did not keep us away from the Grand Reopening...we waited too long.
Mayor Luke Ravenstahl was there.
So was a giant walking Library Card??!!??
The new library has a self service kiosk.
The talking heads were there.
One of the largest numbers of ribbon cutters assembled.
How many scissors does it take to cut a ribbon?
They did it!
Congratulations to a job well done!
That was a Grand Reopening Party!
Back in business :))
