A story worth sharing...
We received an email a few weeks ago with the above opener, "A story worth sharing..."
It was an incredible story of love and resilience that we will never forget. Usually, we don't know the back story for the many pieces of personalized pottery we have created over the years. It's an honor when we do get to know more about our customers; especially when reading the following letter.
Dear Zotter the Potter —
When my wife and I had our ninth anniversary, six years ago I ordered a beautiful ceramic jug from you to celebrate. We cherished it and took it with us to our new home three years ago. Unfortunately, that home was in the Pacific Palisades. Six weeks ago our house was decimated in the fire.
This week I went back to survey the destruction. There was nothing left… except for your beautiful piece of pottery. It’s literally the only thing that survived. And yet it’s so poignant. It’s become an even bigger symbol of the strength of our marriage and the love of our family.
I just wanted to share a picture of the house and the jug.
