Since 1976, Zotter The Potter and crew have created beautiful hand thrown pottery in the tradition of the 19th century Pennsylvania stoneware potteries. The process used to make each piece has changed little over the centuries. We invite you to learn about us and the time honored process we use to make our pottery. I have a habit of taking pictures of my favorite pieces after each kiln load. Here are a few crocks I thought turned out really well.

Mario Lemieux Foundation...
I received the following and wanted to share a wonderful cause:
This May I will be running in the Pittsburgh Half Marathon for the first time and there is no other foundation I would rather raise money and awareness for than the Mario Lemieux Foundation. As many of you know, my dad was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in September of 2012. After four rounds of chemotherapy, and a bone marrow transplant, he is on his way to beating this very rare and serious form of cancer.
The Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers is a state-of-the-art center at the Hillman Cancer Center at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute that has become our second home this past year providing comprehensive care for patients with blood diseases. The doctors and staff at the Hillman have gone above and beyond their call of duty to closely monitor all of their patients progress.
Thank you for all the prayers and support you have all sent the [our] family the past year. Now in 2014, we ask for your continued support and are very grateful for any amount of donation towards this insipiring and incredible foundation.
Thank you in advance,
Elizabeth R

Our personalized annivesary crock shape...
is so pretty AND handsome. It's the most traditional stoneware shape we do.
This month in particular is a month full of special anniversary dates to me.
How about you?
